Zombie Survival Part 3
Believe it or not, there is a lot more to getting through the zombie apocalypse than just killing every zombie in sight. The defensive side of survival is just as important, so a safe secure place to hold out is a must. Contrary to popular belief, the first place you should set up camp is either your home or a friend's home. Everyone seems to think that the first steps should be to go rush for supplies at a supermarket or head to the nearest gun store. That itself is the problem. Everyone will be going to these places at the same time. Even if you are lucky enough to be one of the first ones there, before all the supplies are taken or the store itself is taken over, there will be mass chaos, looting, and almost guaranteed violence. Other buildings, like hospitals, churches, or police departments, will have the same problem. There is strength in numbers, so consider going to the home of friends or family and setting up shop there. Travel anywhere further than to a friend's or family mem
Zombie Survival Part 2
Weapons are one of the most crucial elements of survival. No matter how tricky or fast someone is, eventually he will confront a zombie. Choosing the right weapon can be difficult, especially when the undead are literally knocking on your door. A close combat weapon is the first you should search for, as they are much easier to find. This will make it very difficult to remove, and even a few seconds of being defenseless can cause death. When using a blade, be sure to keep it sharp to prevent this from happening. Also, attempt to decapitate the zombie instead of swinging at their
ReflectionsVal's pursuit led him to the foul beast's domain. The hollowed-out cavern reeked of blood and rancid meat. The dim light he had seen as he charged through the tunnel after the monster could now be identified: torches. Rows of mysteriously lit torches lined the walls of the huge cave. At its center was a substantially large labyrinth of mirrors.
He spotted the beast entering.
He spun his silver broadsword in his hand and hurried in behind it.
His garb was a simple blue and white crusader's leather with thick armored pads and reinforcing steel studs. Lightweight and flexible, but quite effective defense against blunt blows and – in a pinch – the slashing claws of the unholy spawn of the earth. All monster-hunters wore a similar variety in Val's experience. It would serve him well in these close quarters of the mirrored maze.
Right, left, forward, left, right he turned, always catching a glimpse of the beast's tail as he wove his way through the corridors. Every so often he sp
